Area Church News....

Welcome New Area Christian Church Ministers

We welcome Johnny Shirey and his wife, Janette and new son, Corban to the First Christian Church of Turtle Creek, PA.

We welcome Gregg Voss as the new campus minister for Christian Student Foundation of PA ministry at Carnegie Mellon University and University of Pittsburgh, Oakland campus.

Church Expansions

Hempfield Church of Christ in Westmoreland County has the framing and roof trusses built for their church expansion. Unfortunately the wood framing and roof collaspe in a "domino" effect on July 26. No one was injuired in the collaspe. Please keep this congregation in your prayers as they regroup and continue their building addition.

Norwin Christian Church, North Huntingdon, plans an addition to their education building. We pray that all will go well with these construction projects, as these churches expand to meet their needs to continue to serve the people of their areas for the cause of Christ.

We Want Your News

We are seeking information about upcoming events at your church. We will help you publicize the event. Just send the info to CES Office, 4702 Eliza Street, West Mifflin, Pa 15122. We will publish the Winter issue in early November, so we need your information by October 31, 2007. The Spring issue will be published in March, with an information deadline by February 28, 2008. If your church publishes a newsletter please add the CES to your mailing list, using the above address.

We maintain a current list of around 500 copies. We can help you reach many people in the area who would have said "I would have loved to go there, but I didn't know anything about it."

UPCOMING EVENTS

The CES Christian Fellowship will meet on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 6 PM at Homeville Christian Church, Eliza St., West Mifflin, PA . The guest speaker for the program is Rick Weiss, President of the Eastern Christian Convention. This is your opportunity to learn more about the ECC. A time of fellowship will follow the meeting. All area Christians are invited to attend and fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ from around the area.

Urban Fuel Event

Christmas Coffee House on December 7, 2007. The Coffee House will be running from 6-9 PM. The Coffee House is located at Hazelwood Christian Church 118 Glen Caladh Street. Come and Join in a time of fellowship and entertainment.
